Mission Statement

The heart of COPE Counselling Services is the value of Mental Health Awareness. We accept the responsibility to provide a safe space for those who are in need of peace. Striving to eliminate the negative stigma associated with Mental Health issues in Trinidad and Tobago through intervention, advocacy, education and empowerment

Vision

Our vision is to have a society where everyone can access Mental Health services, free from stigma.

E - Empowerment and Education to spread Mental Health awareness throughout the nation

At COPE we want all persons who access services to feel like they are working towards  accomplishing goals that include but are not limited to:

  • managing strong emotions
  • bettering relationships 
  • understanding triggers 
  • awareness as it relates to signs and symptoms of Mental Health issues 
  • increase in positive coping strategies

Executive Director - Micah Dell-Miller

Micah Dell-Miller is a qualified clinical Social Worker/Psychotherapist with a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Windsor in Canada. With over 10 years of experience providing counselling services and helping individuals, families, and couples manage and address complex issues. Micah has worked in many different ares of Social Services including but not limited to: youth justice, criminal justice, child welfare, education, health care, and of course Mental Health. As the founder of COPE, she is committed to our mission, vision, and mandate.
